Another quick trip, this time up to the Sunshine Coast for a bit of a break and photo opportunity. I was looking forward to escaping the cold weather of Melbourne and getting a bit of sun…. but the weather had other ideas and unfortunately was windy and rainy for most of the time! Making the most of it, I went on a bit of drive out to Burderim to check out the “Serenity Falls”. This was easy to get to with a short walk from the car park and I pretty much had the place to myself as the weather wasn’t too favorable. Great for me as the overcast and rain provided some great light for waterfall photos. The falls are quite picturesque and had some great spots to frame a shot. This was the first time I was able to use my new manfrotto tripod and boy was it good! The sturdiness and functionality proved invaluable as it allowed me to get my camera in positions I couldn’t previously with its horizontal arm. I was impressed to say the least. The last morning i was able to get down to Coolum Beach for a sunrise which was a little hampered by the horizon cloud. But managed to capture a couple of shots anyway.
